Thurs Taco Rides! It's the longest running bike ride in America and Bicycling Magazine rated this ride as one of the 10 best weekly rides in the world....and it's in our back yard!! During the summer there can be 700-1,000 cyclists on this famous ride. Ride once....you'ln be hooked! BBC members frequently group to ride this one. When we ride we meet around 5:15-5:30 pm at the Council Bluffs Wabash Trace Trail head (parking is available at the trail head) located south of Council Bluffs and south of the Highway 92 / Highway 275 intersection, near Lewis Central School. You will enjoy the 10 mile scenic and mostly shaded ride to Mineola. About 7 miles down the trail to Minneola we stop at Margaritaville for a social stop. This is a great place to meet other bikers that ride the Wabash. Then we head down a few more miles to the Minneola Steak House for the taco special. If you plan to stay out after dark...BRING A LIGHT FOR THE WAY HOME! Also- a coat and gloves during the fall, winter, and spring. Read a 2007 article and watch a video. or read this updated 2008 article.
